If you’ve read any of my previous reviews, you’ll know that I’m a big LawnMaster fan so imagine my delight when I had the chance to try out the new LawnMaster CLMF4819A. This powerful cordless lawn mower comes with a whole host of features that make cutting your lawn super easy.
What I also really like about the LawnMaster CLMF4819A is how easy it is to use. Straight out of the box, it was just a matter of screwing the quick release handles into place and attaching the grass catcher to its frame and I was ready to go. Being a 3 in 1 mower, the LawnMaster CLMF4819A allows you to tend to your yard in a way that suits you. Moreover, with the changing seasons and needs of your grass, this gives you so much more versatility.
But what really makes the LawnMaster CLMF4819A stand out from the crowd is what a great alternative to a gas mower it is. With iPower technology, the motor automatically changes its power to the conditions and the machine is equipped with two 24 v 4.0Ah batteries so it’s not only powerful but also comes with an excellent run time of up to 40 minutes.

Power System And Batteries
As I mentioned in my introduction to this mower, the LawnMaster CLMF4819A comes with two 24 v 4.0Ah batteries, giving you a total power of 48 volts. Couple this power with the size of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A and you’ve got something that’ll work really well on medium sized lawns, even when the grass is long.
What’s more, these are powershare batteries so, if you have any of the other 48 v tools from LawnMaster, you’ll be able to use these MX24 batteries in those as well. If convenience is one of your main priorities then this is a tool I’d highly recommend.
Now, I should make you aware that, if you’re buying this lawn mower in the UK then there are a couple of minor differences and the batteries you receive in the box are one of them. Unlike the US model, UK versions of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A come with 4 batteries as standard. While having two batteries is perfectly fine, those extra ones certainly help if you have a larger lawn and require more running time per mow.
One of the most outstanding things about the power setup on the LawnMaster CLMF4819A is that you’re not stuck with one power mode. In fact, there is a system which allows you to adjust the power according to the conditions of your lawn. What’s even better is that you can set this automatic so the LawnMaster CLMF4819A adjusts its own power output when it senses more challenging conditions.
If you watch my YouTube video, you’ll see how it ramped up the power when I cut the longer grass at the bottom of my yard. In total, you can expect a 40 minute run time from the batteries but I would urge you to keep in mind that, when the power is turned up, this will reduce the run time. However, there is a handy battery gauge on the mower itself which gives you enough warning when the juice is running low. I thought this was a really handy feature and it saves you from having to check the actual batteries which can add time to your mowing session.
Battery Charger
With the US model of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A, you’ll receive a dual charger. However, if you’re in the UK, you will benefit from two fast chargers in the box which is in line with the additional batteries you’ll receive.

Performance
I would encourage you to take a look at my LawnMaster CLMF4819A video review as this really helps to demonstrate how well this cordless lawn mower works on long grass.
I have a large yard and the LawnMaster CLMF4819A made light work of taking the grass down to an acceptable level. It delivered a neat cut and one of the things that really stood out to me was that it left absolutely no clippings on the lawn. It literally collected everything in that large grass catcher.
Even though I used the LawnMaster CLMF4819A on my first mow of the season, so the grass was quite long, I really wanted to test it on longer grass. Fortunately, there was an area at the bottom of my yard where the grass was much longer, so I went down there with the LawnMaster CLMF4819A and I was super impressed with the results.
I started on the highest cutting height and the LawnMaster CLMF4819A blitzed through the grass with no problems. Not only was it long but it was also pretty damp so this made it even more impressive. Having seen the results on position 6, I decided to take it down to position 4 and then position 3. In both cases, the results were immaculate and the Lawnmaster CLMF4819A adjusted its power accordingly, leaving a clean and neat result.
There really is nothing bad I can say about the performance of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A. I had high hopes anyway, knowing the exceptional quality of LawnMaster in general, but this really blew me away.
Cutting Diameter
The LawnMaster CLMF4819A comes with a 19 inch cutting deck which makes it ideal for medium sized yards. My lawn is a decent size and I found this mower covered everything within the running time and I had no problems at all, as you’ll see in my video review of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A.
It is worth noting that this model is also available in the UK but under a different model name (the LawnMaster CLMF4846A) and that’s because, in the UK, this is sold as a 46 cm mower, which explains the model number difference. However, for all intents and purposes, it’s exactly the same product.
Handles
The handles on the LawnMaster CLMF4819A are really something to write home about as they’re packed with handy features that make mowing so much easier than it could be.
For starters, you’re getting a padded handle which improves the overall comfort of using the LawnMaster CLMF4819A. On top of that, there’s an excellent display panel which gives you information on the remaining battery power and allows you to adjust the power mode to your liking.
I also like that the handle can be set to one of three positions which again, is so important in terms of comfort. When you’re done, you can fold the entire handle flat so storing the LawnMaster CLMF4819A is simple.
You’ll also notice in my video review that there is a velcro strap fixed to the handle which allows you to secure the wire. This may seem like a minor feature but it’s one that just keeps everything neat, tidy, and convenient.
Wheels
One of the huge advantages of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A is that it comes with large rear wheels. I’m often asked why this is such an important feature to look out for and it all comes down to stability and manoeuvrability.
Those larger rear wheels mean that moving the LawnMaster CLMF4819A over a bumpy yard or more challenging terrain requires very little effort from the user and that’s something I’m sure we can all get on board with.
Height Adjustment
If the 3 in 1 function of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A wasn’t enough, this model also comes with a great range of six cutting heights. The lowest is 1.4 inches and the highest is 3.4 inches which is what makes it such a good choice for longer grass.
Switching between cutting heights is made super easy thanks to the central height adjustment lever. In fact, I would go as far as to say that this is one of the easiest I’ve ever used, proving that LawnMaster has gone above and beyond to create a really user-friendly piece of equipment.
Roller
Unfortunately, one of the things that’s missing from the LawnMaster CLMF4819A is a rear roller so, if you’re looking for a mower that’ll create a striped lawn, I’m afraid that’s a no-go. That said, there are striping kits available online and in hardware stores so it’s a pretty easy add-on.
The UK version of this lawn mower does come with a rear roller so, for UK buyers, this is a nice additional touch.
Grass Catcher
I really like how large the grass box on the LawnMaster CLMF4819A is. At 55 gallons it provides you with plenty of space to collect a bunch of clippings without having to stop.
I was also really impressed to see that this was a cloth grass catcher which is excellent for promoting air flow as you mow, allowing for almost perfect collection. In fact, if you watch my YouTube review, you’ll see just how well the LawnMaster CLMF4819A picked up, leaving no rogue clippings on my lawn.
I would usually say that the lack of a solid top of a fabric grass catcher messes with its structure and stability. But the solid metal frame is really durable and helps the grass box to keep its shape.
Plus, putting it together was a breeze. It’s simply a case of slotting the frame inside the cloth bag and then securing the clips. It took me mere seconds and required no tools which I think is always a bonus when getting set up.
Mulching
The LawnMaster CLMF4819A is a 3 in 1 cordless lawn mower meaning it has several mowing functions. I love this because it allows far more versatility when mowing your lawn as the conditions are ever-changing.
So, to this end, you are supplied with a mulching plug which comes slotted into the back of the mower. I have heard of people forgetting to take this out before mowing with the grass catcher and wondering why the LawnMaster CLMF4819A isn’t picking up. So, do remember to remove this after purchasing if you don’t currently want to use mulching mode.
While talking about mowing functions, I should also mention that the LawnMaster CLMF4819A comes with a side discharge chute, giving you that little bit more choice when it comes to how you mow your lawn.
Practicalities
As I have just discussed, the LawnMaster CLMF4819A has user-friendliness in bucket loads and the many practical features make it an ideal choice for people who want a versatile mower but are new to this type of equipment.
Although this is a relatively lightweight mower at 36 lbs, considering the spec, the addition of a central carry handle just makes it that much easier to move from the garage or shed to your lawn. It’s little things like this which show the manufacturer has put the user first.
Assembling the LawnMaster CLMF4819A is so easy and requires no tools. I have used mowers in the past that are a nightmare to put together so, if you’re looking for simplicity, you’ll find it here.
Safety Features
The LawnMaster CLMF4819A comes with a safety key which must be inserted before the lawn mower will fire up. If you have children, this is so important and something I would expect to see on every cordless lawn mower. Just be sure to store it somewhere safe in between uses.

For people that are looking for a viable alternative to a gas lawn mower, the LawnMaster CLMF4819A will be right up your street. It boasts incredible power and many features like the full length control bar that really give it the feel of a gas mower. All of this without the fumes, noise, and maintenance.
I also think that the LawnMaster CLMF4819A would be an excellent choice for anyone who needs a more versatile mower. With such a good range of cutting heights and that 3 in 1 function, this cordless mower will meet all of your gardening needs.
But, as I have mentioned several times, the real attraction of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A is that it’s so good on longer lawns. If you don’t mow your grass regularly or if you find your current mower struggles with that first cut of the season, the LawnMaster CLMF4819A will make light work of things.
Conclusion
I was so excited to try out the LawnMaster CLMF4819A and I was not disappointed with how it performed. For the price, you get such an amazing range of features and yet this remains one of the simplest cordless lawn mowers to use.
The 3 in 1 cutting options make it suitable for a whole host of mowing chores and the six cutting heights are a generous addition.
But it’s the power of the LawnMaster CLMF4819A that really sets it apart. That iPower technology allows both manual and automatic power adjustment which means you’ll get the most out of your batteries and get the cleanest, closest cut regardless of the length of the lawn.
